A great bell for any bike
Easy to fit nice and loud.
Added a rubber shim to adapt the 22mm to a 19mm dia bar.
I bought this to replace an old Bike Bell 520 (which was out of stock). The obvious difference between the two is that the 300 is painted and a lot quiter - the specs say 5 dB quiter. Bear in mind that decibels are a logarithmic scale, a decrease by 3 dB is about a 50% reduction in volume (a reduction by 10dB is about 90%).
If it is instock, I would recommend getting the 520 instead. Definitely worth the extra 50p.
I hate those bells which you press and only get one specific ring. The btwin bell is a little like the old fashioned phones (with a dial) so when you press it you get a long, decent ring. Difficult to describe. All I can say, is go and buy one, or two, or even 3!I have a variety of colours (I bought 2 in decathlon in Spain). It really is a quality bell, and incredible value.
This bell sounds great and has a "good action" as Alan Partridge might put it. Unfortunately, its band is too small to fit on my handlebars so I had to settle for one of its siblings, which isn't as good but at least it fits!
Only had couple of months..... hope the click bit on bell does not break off easily like last one....
short of reach
Good bell simple does the job
Fits my handbars well, doesn't slip when pulled. Note always provides a ''ding ding" sound, rather than a single, "ding" possible with simpler type bells. Quite a pleasant sound though!
Small, loud enough
Can only be fitted on right hand side
I like the fact that it has a double ring, rings when you press the leaver and when you release the lever.
Good ring! Bright loud sound.
Doesn't fit all handlebars!
Thanks for bringing up the topic of handlebar diameter. To confirm, this model is designed for 19 -> 22.2 mm diameter bars.
